Job Responsibilities:

As a Senior Back-End Developer, you serve as a team expert in backend implementation, emphasis on PHP programming, clean code principles, and testing culture. Including: diagnosing problems, getting around limitations, and creating efficiency and optimization to do things that will drive the platform’s capabilities. Actively participate in product features and design discussions to help shape products. You present solutions to both technical leadership and other software engineering teams.

Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6-8+yrs of relevant work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of solid PHP 7+ and Laravel 8+ experience
• Recent test-driven development experience
• In-depth knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, and common design patterns in web development
• Proficient with SQL designing schemas, creating migrations, and executing simple and complex queries preferably using Postgres
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Familiar with Bootstrap and jQuery
• Demonstrable knowledge of Docker (images, containers, and volumes)
• Capable of using source control (Git) with various branching strategies
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Have worked with S3 buckets and other AWS experience
• Experience using Elasticsearch within a Laravel application
• Skilled at command line, including but not limited to creating and executing Artisan commands
• Ability to configure Nginx and troubleshoot server errors
• Understand use of Redis for caching, queuing, and session tracking
• Can explain events, listeners, jobs and use of Laravel Horizon
• Recent professional experience creating and consuming REST APIs
• Exceptional code debugging and system troubleshooting skills
• Good communication skills in English.
• Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
