It is truly hard to believe that we've been recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Best Startup Employers. It feels like only yesterday that Yves and I were living off ham sandwiches and ramen, running Fieldwire out of my shoebox San Francisco apartment.

In the beginning, we grew slowly. First we doubled the company in size, from two people to four. And then we tripled. That warranted renting an office space. FW growth 1 As a group of gamers and engineers, we knew so many ways we could fail as a construction technology startup — and the one way we could succeed: by hiring the right people.

We hired strategically — saying “yes” to people who shared our passion for solving complex problems with simple solutions. And now, seven years later, we're a 100-person company with offices in San Francisco, Scottsdale, and Paris.

“What gets me out of bed every day is working with great people," says CEO Yves Frinault. "It's about enjoying the mission as much as the journey.”

Today we still hire like-minded, passionate people. And while we don’t have an in-house masseuse or pool tables, we do trust and enable our employees to do their best work so we can all succeed. If that and working at one of America’s Best Startup Employers sounds appealing, now is the time to join us.

What our employees say

Sameer Kalburgi, VP Engineering: "I joined Fieldwire in 2013 to bring world-class technology to the construction jobsite. Seven years later, I've been able to help build something incredible, growing our team of four — Yves, Javed, and Jay, and me — to one hundred. Being recognized as one of America’s Best Startup Employers is a testament to this fantastic journey. And there's more to come as we continue to help construction teams around the world build great things.”

Jay Raveendiran, Director of Engineering: “It's been a wonderful journey over the past six years (and counting) with Yves, Javed, and Sameer. I'm really thrilled we've been chosen as one of America's Best Startup Employers. Even with a bigger team, the pace hasn't slackened a bit. Join us and be a part of a nimble team that tackles challenging problems and trusts folks to do their best.”

Marielle Price, VP of Construction: “I've been with Fieldwire for more than four years and I'm thrilled to see that the company has been recognized as one of America’s Best Startup Employers. It's been an amazing ride. There's never a boring day and it's fun to be able to put my stamp on a growing company and the contech industry.”

Rahul Joshi, Engineering Manager: “I've been with Fieldwire since 2016. It's so great to see the company recognized as one of America’s Best Startup Employers. Fieldwire has an incredible team and I love the fact that everyone is super talented and yet really humble. I'm looking forward to more exciting times ahead with this amazing group of people.”

Michael Woodson, Business Operations Manager: “I’ve just reached my fourth year here. I am incredibly grateful for the impact this company has had on my career. Being able to work on an incredible product alongside incredible talent is deeply rewarding. Seeing Fieldwire ranked as one of America’s Best Startup Employers — I frankly couldn’t agree more.”

Forbes methodology

in its inaugural ranking of America’s Best Startup Employers, Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to identify the up-and-coming companies best-liked by employees. Their list was compiled after evaluating 2,500 businesses with at least 50 employees on three criteria: employer reputation, employee satisfaction, and growth.
